What Courses Require Online Work?

Some courses may require you to complete online learning ahead of attending a face-to-face training session, or you may be completing an online course.

When you log into your Student Profile you will be asked to confirm your enrolment details for any upcoming courses (if not already done so) and then you will see clear indications if there are any actions required.

Please note: You must confirm all of your enrolment information, including providing a valid USI for nationally recognised training, before you are able to access your pre-course work.

Courses requiring online pre-course work have an indicator in the course card as well as an important message on your dashboard.

Each online course starts with a bank of instructions. Please ensure that you read these carefully, as they will contain important information for your course.

Your course will contain a number of sections that will be either informational or assessment.

  • The informational sections will be labelled as:
    • Presentation
    • Flippingbook
    • Video
  • The assessment sections are labelled as:
    • Quiz

All sections must be successfully completed before your online learning is complete.

Each course is set up in an ideal order of learning. This means that you should start at the top section and avoid skipping, otherwise you may end up trying to learn the harder information before learning the basics.

Some courses will not let you progress to the next module until the previous module is complete. This will be indicated by a lock symbol.
